XPS foam abstract art panel. layered xps foam, painted with vinyl matt emulsion. back panel 50mm thick, top layers of 25mm thick. Some of the shadows are painted, some are real. Layers cut using a hot wire pen and 380gsm boxboard card templates to obtain straight lines.
To obtain a smooth surface on the xpsfoam it was sanded with fine grade sandpaper and 180 grit wet and dry paper.
Before the acrylic paint colours were applied the xpsfoam was first painted white.
Time taken to complete project, a few evenings and a couple of cups of tea.
